Lakshmi claims she was inspired by Sridevi

Lakshmi Manchu cited the late actress Sridevi as her inspiration. She remembered how natural Sridevi appeared.

During the podcast program, Lakshmi Manchu shared her experience seeing Sridevi with her hair oiled.

Lakshmi Manchu said, “I remember being at a gym once when she was there and being unable to enter because she had this oil in her hair and was on the treadmill. This was in Hyderabad, and I noticed Sridevi ji was on the treadmill with her hair fully oiled.”

Lakshmi said, “Growing up, oil was a distinctive part of South Indians, and I used to despise it. But that one time transformed everything for me. I thought that if the renowned Sridevi is doing it, it must be amazing since she is so natural.”
