Ram Charan ousts Nani from the March 2026 competition

The film “Peddi,” starring Ram Charan and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has been generating a lot of hype ever since it hit the floors. The first look and the title posters received wide acclaim when they came out on Ram Charan’s birthday on March 27 this year.

On the occasion of the Sri Rama Navami festival yesterday, the makers also released the film’s first teaser with the name Peddi First Shot Release Date Glimpse. The one-minute video has sparked considerable hype. Fans went int a jubilation mood. It quickly gained thousands of likes and millions of views on social media.

The video featuring AR Rahman’s music has been lauded for its raw and rustic portrayal, with fans and critics alike. Everyone praised Ram Charan’s performance, his dialogue delivery, and its setting reminiscent of 90s rural Srikakulam. The narrative promises a deep exploration of self and identity, with the film’s promotional material emphasizing the personal battle of its protagonist.

Release date

Set for a global release on March 27, 2026, “Peddi” is aiming to cash in on the Ramzanzan– Ugadi holiday period next year. The date is also special because it is also Ram Charan’s birthday (March 27). Hence, fans have declared it as the best date they could have asked for. Ram Charan and the producers, along with director Buchi Babu, took this decision to release the movie on March 27 next year, and accordingly, the entire team is working to wrap the production and post-production.

Nani to lock in a new date

There will not be any change in the date of “Peddi,” leaving Nani to explore other options for his ambitious next project—The Paradise. Although the filming for “The Paradise,” directed by Srikanth Odela, has not yet begun, the team released a teaser with the name “The Paradise—Raw Statement” and declared its release date as March 26, 2026.

With the confirmation from “Peddi” set for the same weekend, Nani has no option but to look for a different date and postpone his film. Since the movie has not yet begun production, it is not a big deal for him to move his movie to a new date.

What is ‘The Paradise’ about?

Set against the historical backdrop of Hyderabad, “The Paradise” promises to present Nani in a different way. He sports braids and tattoos on his body. The teaser mentioned that it was about mother-son sentiment as well as slum dwellers fighting against an oppressive force. It is a classic tale of a commoner becoming a leader of the masses.
