Oscars 2025: Anora bags five awards

“Anora”, a dramedy, emerged as the biggest winner of the evening at Oscars on Sunday, earning a total of five awards. Star Mikey Madison received the award for best actress, while Sean Baker garnered three Oscars for his picture: best director, best original screenplay, and best film editing.

In the remaining acting categories, Adrien Brody received the award for best actor for The Brutalist, while Kieran Culkin secured the Oscar for best supporting actor for his performance in A Real Pain.

Zoe Saldaña received the accolade for best supporting actress for her role in Emilia Pérez, highlighting her status as the “first American of Dominican descent to receive an Academy Award.”
