Telugu celebrities condemn Pahalgam terror attack

The Telugu film industry has condemned the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22. The attack, perpetrated by The Resistance Front—a Lashkar-e-Taiba affiliate—claimed 26 lives, including two foreign nationals, and left several others injured. The assault on tourists in the picturesque Baisaran Valley has drawn sharp reactions from Tollywood stars, who took to social media to express their sorrow and solidarity.

Many celebrities and fans have used social media to amplify calls for justice and for stronger measures to protect civilians in the conflict-prone region.

Megastar Chiranjeevi called the attack “ghastly” and “unpardonable,” writing:

“My heart bleeds for the innocent lives lost in this cowardly act. Such brutality has no place in humanity. My deepest condolences to the families affected, and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.”

NTR prayed for justice to the victims:

“Heart goes out to the victims of the #Pahalgam attack. My thoughts are with their families. Praying for peace and justice.”

Actor Nani, who recently spent nearly 20 days shooting in Pahalgam, shared his devastation:

“I’m speechless. Pahalgam was a haven of peace during our shoot just three months ago. This horrific attack on innocent tourists is heart-wrenching. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.”

Venkatesh wrote:

“The Pahalgam attack is a stark reminder of the evil we face. My prayers are with the victims’ families. Justice must be swift and uncompromising.”

Nagarjuna added:

“This senseless violence against innocent tourists is unacceptable. We stand united against terrorism. Heartfelt condolences to all who have lost loved ones.”

The Pahalgam incident, one of the deadliest in the region in recent years, has sparked outrage nationwide. Prominent voices from Bollywood and the Indian television industry—such as Mohanlal, Sanjay Dutt, and Aly Goni—have also condemned the attack.
