Prabhas is on a mission to earn Rs 1000 Cr

Prabhas stands tall as one of the most bankable superstars in Indian cinema today. His films command massive openings at the box office, regardless of their genre, content, or director. Such is his stardom that audiences flock to theaters solely for his presence, whether the filmmaker is an established veteran or a debutant.

With his towering star power, Prabhas has lined up multiple high-budget projects. However, an interesting aspect of his career trajectory is that between 2013 and 2019, he released only two films—Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017).

He devoted six years to these monumental projects, propelling him to global recognition and solidifying his status as a genuine pan-Indian superstar. Despite the unparalleled success of Baahubali, he did not capitalize financially during that period, as he was committed to a single franchise for an extended time.

Aiming for ₹1000 Cr

To make up for the earnings he missed during the Baahubali years, Prabhas has now adopted an aggressive approach to signing new projects.

According to industry sources, the actor has set a personal target of earning ₹1000 crore from his ongoing and upcoming films. He would need to finish about seven films to reach this lofty target, considering that he charges about ₹150 crore per film.

Currently, Prabhas has over half a dozen films in various stages of production, including highly anticipated projects like Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar: Part 2, Spirit, and Raja Saab. Additionally, he has reportedly signed a new film with director Prasanth Varma. With this strategic lineup, Prabhas is well on track to reach his ₹1000 crore earnings target while continuing to dominate the box office.

Here’s a brief overview of each of Prabhas’ upcoming films:

1. Kannappa

“Kannappa” is a Manchu Vishnu’s film. Prabhas plays a cameo role named Rudra. He has done this film out of friendship and good will. He didn’t take money for this.

2. The Raja Saab

Directed by Maruthi, ‘The Raja Saab’ is a horror-comedy featuring Prabhas in an entertaining role. Unlike his recent larger-than-life action films, this project promises a fun-filled experience with elements of comedy, romance, and supernatural thrills. The film has Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan as the leading ladies. Produced by People Media Factory, ‘The Raja Saab’ is set for release later this year.

3. Fauji

“Fauji” marks Prabhas’ first film as an army officer, a role fans have long awaited. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film is expected to be a patriotic action thriller with a gripping storyline. The film, being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is set for release in 2026.

Newcomer Imanvi is playing the female lead.

4. Spirit

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Arjun Reddy and Animal), “Spirit” is an intense action drama where Prabhas plays a fearless cop. The film is expected to be a raw, high-energy entertainer with Vanga’s signature style of storytelling, featuring intense action sequences and emotional depth.

“Spirit” will start rolling in the second half of 2025 and will release during December 2026 or Sankranthi 2027.

5. Kalki 2898 AD (Part 2)

Following the release of Kalki 2898 AD, the sequel will continue the epic dystopian sci-fi saga directed by Nag Ashwin. Set in a futuristic world inspired by mythology, the film boasts a stellar ensemble cast and cutting-edge VFX. Prabhas’ character is expected to play a crucial role in the battle between good and evil. The film will start rolling in 2026 and aims for 2028 release.

6. Prasanth Varma Film

Director Prasanth Varma is making a film named “Baka” based on a mythological story from Mahabharat. Prabhas recently wrapped his test look. The film will be produced by Hombale Films.

7. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film

Prabhas has also committed to act in director Lokesh Kangaraj’s film for production house Mythri Movie Makers.
