Shruti Haasan has once again made headlines, this time for her candid remarks about being judged for her past relationships and boyfriends.

It is no secret that Shruti Haasan has had many boyfriends. She date more than 10 actors and models.

She opened up about the intrusive questions she faces regarding her dating history, particularly the oft-asked, “Which number boyfriend is this?”

Shruti said, “When people say, ‘Which number of boyfriend is this?’, they don’t understand that for them it’s a number, for me it is the number of times that I have failed at having the love I want.”

Failed relationships and trauma

However, Shruti Haasan said she never blames others or ex-boyfriends for failed relationships.

“I don’t blame my partners because we aren’t wired to change the same way at the same time, it isn’t possible. So, I don’t feel bad about it… but I feel a little bad. Of course, I’m human.”

Shruti admitted that while she doesn’t regret her choices. “I’ve learned so much about myself through these experiences. Relationships teach you things no other journey can,” she added.

No marriage plans

The actress’s comments come after months of speculation about her personal life.

Shruti’s openness extends beyond her recent remarks. In December 2024, she discussed her aversion to marriage, telling Hindustan Times, “I love relationships, I love romance, but I am afraid of getting attached to someone so much.” She clarified that while she’s open to love, the idea of deep commitment scares her.

On the professional front, Shruti remains busy, currently shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s “Coolie” alongside Rajinikanth.
