Drishyam 3: Venkatesh has his eyes on the remake

“Drishyam” is one of the most successful franchises in Indian cinema. The first part of this Malayalam movie had remakes in multiple languages, including Telugu, starring Venkatesh. The second part was not that successful, but it still has great recall value.

In this backdrop, Mohanlal has announced the production of ‘Drishyam 3,’ the latest addition to the acclaimed Malayalam crime-thriller series.

Directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor, the film will continue the story of Georgekutty, a character celebrated for his cleverness in outsmarting the police.

Predictions are that ‘Drishyam 3’ could achieve blockbuster status across India, potentially surpassing the 500-crore mark globally.

Discussions have emerged regarding the film’s potential for a pan-Indian release, with suggestions for a dubbed version to reach a broader audience. There is also speculation about a Hindi remake featuring Ajay Devgn and a Telugu remake with Venkatesh.
