A fan’s blood portrait of Pawan Kalyan draws wild reactions

A young fan’s unique tribute to actor and politician Pawan Kalyan has captured widespread attention and is quickly going viral on social media.

During a recent government event in Rajahmundry, Minister Kandula Durgesh, Deputy Speaker Raghurama, and MLA Adireddy unveiled a striking portrait of Pawan Kalyan. This was done at the Amaravati Chitrakala Veedhi program.

Pawan Kalyan has legions of fans. Most of his fans are young people, who are in their teens or in twenties. Due to his charisma and his persona, the young people revere him like a demigod. This craze among youngsters helped him become Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and also his Jana Sena party winning 21 seats.
A 17-yearold intermediate student Venkata Haricharan from West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh drew the image of Pawan Kalyan using his own blood. This blood he donated on the actor’s birthday.

The fan stated that the portrait was his way of paying tribute to his hero.

Some call it as fanaticism

While the fan’s act has drawn widespread praise online from Pawan Kalyan’s fans, others slammed this kind of mad admiration. An online user described drawing a portrait of a hero from one’s own blood as the epitome of fanaticism. He termed that this kind of frenzy among young people in Andhra Pradesh is the reason for degenerating politics.

There are concerns that Andhra’s electoral political arena is increasingly filled with caste politics, movie star fanaticism, and freebie culture and less about the promise of good governance and development.

Pawan Kalyan has yet to respond

Pawan Kalyan, who is deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, has not made any remark about his party colleagues appreciating a fan’s blood portrait. He is busy with his responsibilities in the governance. Regarding his movies, Pawan Kalyan is gearing up for his return to the big screen with the upcoming release of “Harihara Veeramallu,” which announced May 9 as its release date.
