The Andhra Pradesh government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, has promised to provide hassle-free room allocations for devotees as well as resources to assist everyone who visits the iconic temple—Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam.

As promised, the Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam Board (TTD Board) has implemented adjustments.

Room allocation

TTD has introduced a new strategy for distributing accommodations to VIPs in Tirumala. Accommodation will only be available to VIP devotees who have darshan tickets, they have decided.

Out of a total of 7,500 rooms, 3,500 will be reserved for present Aadhaar ordinary devotees under the CRO. TTD will reserve 1,580 rooms in advance and 400 rooms for benefactors.

Another 450 rooms will be handed to VIPs upon arrival, with the remainder going to currently booked VIPs. These rooms will have to be obtained from the Padmavati enquiry center, MBC, and TB counter. TTD has decided to require Aadhaar Darshan tickets for this.

Previous scams

Last year, Aadhaar brokers took over VIP rooms in huge numbers and maintained them under their grip. Two or three devotees each received a room, which they could use for up to 48 hours. The scammers have now been removed.
