The summer season has commenced. Reports indicate power disruptions in certain regions of Telangana state. The state is experiencing a rise in demand.

Amid concerns of impending power outages, the Telangana administration has guaranteed citizens that they are implementing comprehensive measures to satisfy the demand.

Energy Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania assessed the execution of TGNPDCL’s Summer Action Plan to address the rising demands during the current Rabi and summer seasons.

In the review meeting, the principal secretary commended all personnel in the electricity sector for their contributions to delivering quality, reliable, and uninterrupted power supply.

To preserve the standing crops of the agricultural community, the senior secretary instructed officials to mobilize Emergency Response Team (ERT) vehicles to repair or replace any malfunctioning distribution transformers.

Moreover, comprehensive awareness must be established by all customers to utilize the 1912 system for efficient resolution of their issues, he stated.

No interruptions in electrical supply

For the past seven to eight years, the state has not experienced power outages, even during the busy summer season. In light of this predicament, the Congress government is endeavoring to avoid a negative reputation. CM Revanth Reddy has directed officials to ensure a continuous supply of electricity in all regions throughout the summer season.
