Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan went to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad late Saturday night for a series of medical tests. The actor-turned-politician, who has been battling with reoccurring health difficulties in recent months, had preliminary scans and examinations, and physicians recommended additional testing for a more thorough evaluation.
Pawan Kalyan has been battling health issues, including a recent case of fever and spondylitis that caused him to take a sabbatical from his hectic political and film engagements.
The medical team at Apollo Hospital performed initial testing and recommended additional checks to verify his health, with plans for him to return for follow-up tests in early March.
Pawan Kalyan should continue his engagements once his physicians have cleared him, balancing his public service duties with his personal health.
Back pain difficulties and body dupes
Pawan Kalyan has suffered from back pain for over ten years. He has quit performing rigorous dance steps in films, although he continues to undertake action stunts on his own. The filmmakers of his films only use body duplicates (dupes) for heavy stunts. The majority of the stunts in the ongoing films—Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG—were performed by body doubles.
Pawan Kalyan needs to rest
The physicians also urged that he rest at home for a few weeks.
