Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) is set to hold a series of meetings with party leaders across all districts of Telangana. This initiative aims to rejuvenate the party, which now sits in the opposition after nearly a decade in power.
With the BJP making aggressive inroads and the ruling Congress party striving to weaken BRS completely, KCR has devised a strategic plan to reinforce the party’s grassroots network.
Having endured numerous political challenges during his 14-year struggle for Telangana statehood, KCR is renowned for his masterful strategies and resilience.
KCR has deliberately waited for over a year to allow the new government to settle before taking action. As the Congress government completes one and a half years in power and BRS approaches its 25th foundation anniversary, KCR aims to build a fresh leadership base to regain political dominance.
In a major effort to reconnect with the cadre, KCR will hold constituency-wise meetings where leaders will provide him with firsthand reports on the current political climate, public sentiment, and pressing issues. These insights will help shape the party’s revival strategy.
Each week, around 150-200 leaders from one or two constituencies will meet with KCR. Senior leaders have been instructed to make logistical arrangements, including travel plans, to ensure smooth execution of these meetings.
Beyond these constituency-specific interactions, KCR is also keen on resuming frequent discussions at Telangana Bhavan. These sessions will provide a platform for party members to deliberate on key issues, devise strategies, and reinforce the party’s presence at the grassroots level.
With these efforts, KCR is set to lead BRS into a new phase of political resurgence, preparing the party for the future electoral battles ahead.
