Modi inaugurates the Vantara Wildlife Sanctuary

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Vantara, a wildlife conservation and rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, Gujarat, under the leadership of Anant Ambani.

The sanctuary seeks to offer refuge for over 2,000 species and more than 150,000 animals, emphasizing ecological sustainability and animal welfare.

During his visit, Modi emphasized instances of animals undergoing treatment for serious injuries, including an elephant affected by an acid attack and others injured due to human acts or accidents.

PM wrote on X.com: “Inaugurated Vantara, a unique wildlife conservation, rescue and rehabilitation initiative, which provides a safe haven for animals while promoting ecological sustainability and wildlife welfare. I commend Anant Ambani and his entire team for this very compassionate effort.” The initiative has garnered extensive recognition for establishing a new standard in animal care and conservation, receiving commendations from popular figures like as Sachin Tendulkar and Anand Mahindra.
