Vishwambhara, touted as Megastar Chiranjeevi’s most ambitious project to date, is shaping up to be a true magnum opus. While the core storyline remains under wraps, the film is said to explore a groundbreaking concept in Indian cinema — a unique blend of fantasy, mythology, and devotion on an epic scale.

Directed by Vassishta, who earned acclaim for his world-building in Bimbisara, Vishwambhara aims to transport audiences into a richly imagined fantasy universe. At the center of this world is Chiranjeevi, portraying a larger-than-life character — a devout follower of Lord Hanuman.

75 Cr for VFX

A major talking point surrounding the film is its visual effects. Following criticism over the quality of VFX in the teaser, the makers at UV Creations have reportedly allocated a massive ₹75 crore budget exclusively for visual effects following criticism over the teaser’s visual effects.

To bring this vision to life, the team has partnered with leading Hollywood VFX studios. Sources close to the production say the CG work is progressing well, and the output so far has exceeded expectations. Due to the intricate and large-scale VFX requirements, the film’s release has been delayed — but the makers are in no rush.

Recently, the first single from Vishwambhara was released — a devotional track that aligns perfectly with the film’s spiritual themes. With its divine energy, soulful composition, and striking visuals, the song has already become a chartbuster and received widespread praise.

Ensemble cast

Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan, Ashika Ranganath, and Kunal Kapoor play main lead roles. Directed by Vassishta of Bimbisara fame, the film is produced by UV Creations. The film has music by MM Keervani. Vishambhara is expected to arrive in theaters in two months.
