Before the elections, TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance announced “Super Six Guarantees”. These poll promises were the main reason for Chandrababu Naidu returning the power.

But the first comprehensive budget of the Chandrababu Naidu administration in its current term which was presented today in assembly has mention of many of these guarantees.

There was considerable expectation around the distribution of funding for the “Super Six Guarantees” that Naidu had pledged prior to the elections. Nevertheless, the Naidu budget has allocated funds for only two initiatives from the outstanding “Super Six” commitments.

  1. Thalliki Vandanam The Thalliki Vandanam program has received a budget allocation of Rs 9,407 crore. Each mother would receive Rs 15,000 per child in her bank account, regardless of the number of children attending school. The government has resolved to initiate this initiative in May 2025.

  2. Under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme, farmers will get an annual sum of Rs 20,000. The state would disburse Rs 14,000 in three installments, supplementing the Rs 6,000 allocated under the central PMKisan scheme.

Following the budget presentation, Minister Payyavula Keshav declared that Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a financial crisis, with its borrowing capability at zero.
