BRS MLC K. Kavitha vehemently condemned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy today, alleging that he is damaging Telangana’s reputation with “falsehoods and fabricated statistics.”

Kavitha emphasized the state’s escalating debt—reportedly ₹1.5 lakh crore within 15 months—and the unfulfilled commitments of Congress, including ₹2,500 monthly assistance for women and 10 grams of gold for marriages.

On the other hand, KT Rama Rao, the working president of BRS, criticized the Congress government for their duplicity in public expenditure. He questioned the rationale for expending Rs 200 crore on the Miss World beauty contest while condemning the Rs 46 crore allocated for the Formula-E race during the BRS administration.

He directed his criticism against Congress Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi, inquiring, “What is this perverse reasoning?Could you kindly elucidate, Rahul Gandhi Ji?”

Telangana will host the Miss World 2025 competition, from May 7 to May 31, at many locations within the State, culminating in Hyderabad.
