Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has articulated an ambitious goal for the state’s tribal farmers and economic development, advocating for Araku Coffee to attain the prominence of a global brand akin to Starbucks.
During an International Women’s Day ceremony in Markapuram, Naidu articulated his aspiration to transform the premium coffee cultivated in the Eastern Ghats into a global phenomenon.
“One day, our Araku Coffee should evolve into a brand comparable to Starbucks. It ought to evolve into a global brand,” Naidu proclaimed to a substantial assembly of attendees.
To initiate this vision, he proposed the creation of 100 pilot outlets throughout the state, encouraging women to spearhead this endeavor.
“I have secured a partner to promote and establish Araku Coffee centers. Let us extend them to every village and significant panchayat,” he stated, underscoring the importance of women in facilitating this change.
Araku Coffee, produced by tribal farmers in the Araku Valley, has received international recognition, featuring flagship stores in Paris and Bengaluru. Recognized as the largest certified organic coffee farm globally and the first terroir-mapped coffee, it possesses a robust platform for international expansion.
