Venkatesh Daggubati is making headlines with exciting updates about his upcoming projects, including a potential collaboration with ace director Trivikram Srinivas and a special appearance in director Anil Ravipudi’s next film headlined by Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Following the blockbuster success of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, a comedy-crime entertainer directed by Anil Ravipudi that grossed over Rs 300 crore during the Sankranti 2025 season, Venkatesh is reportedly in talks for his next ventures.
Industry insiders are abuzz with speculation about a film between Venkatesh and Trivikram Srinivas. Trivikram wrote scripts for Venkatesh’s blockbusters like Nuvvu Naaku Nachav and Malliswari. But they have not worked together as an actor-director Jodi.
The latest buzz is that Trivikram has narrated a script for a full-length comedy entertainer to Venkatesh, with an official announcement expected soon if all goes well. The project is said to be a priority for Trivikram before he begins his next collaboration with Allu Arjun.
Adding to the excitement, reports confirm that Venkatesh will play a pivotal cameo in Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming comedy-drama featuring Chiranjeevi, tentatively titled Mega157.
Launched with a grand pooja ceremony on Ugadi, the film is slated for a Sankranti 2026 release.
According to industry sources, Venkatesh’s role, appearing in the second half, is designed to be a crowd-pleaser, capitalizing on his chemistry with Ravipudi and his camaraderie with Chiranjeevi. The film, produced by Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments, promises a fresh avatar for Chiranjeevi, with Venkatesh’s appearance expected to be a highlight.
Other projects While no other films have been officially announced, Venkatesh is reportedly evaluating scripts to maintain his momentum post-Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.
