Amid speculation that Sreeleela is shifting her base to Mumbai, the actress has put the rumors to rest, affirming her commitment to the Telugu film industry.
Despite bagging a major Bollywood opportunity alongside Kartik Aaryan, she confirmed that Hyderabad remains her home.
Sreeleela is set to star opposite Kartik Aaryan in a romantic drama, rumored to be the third installment of the Aashiqui franchise, directed by Anurag Basu. A recently released teaser featuring the duo as on-screen lovers has fueled excitement. Additionally, their frequent public appearances together, including family gatherings and celebrations, have sparked dating rumors.
However, the actress made it clear that her heart belongs to Telugu cinema. Addressing the speculation, she stated, “The Telugu film industry is my home, and that will never change. Settling in Bollywood is simply out of the question.”
Sreeleela also shed light on her brief break from films. Except for Guntur Kaaram in 2023, she had not appeared in any project, leading to curiosity among fans. The actress clarified that her absence was due to academic commitments.
“Since I was in the final year of my MBBS, I had decided well in advance to take a break and focus on my studies. I turned down several promising projects for this reason, but now that I’ve completed my degree, I’m back,” she explained.
With her studies behind her, Sreeleela is now fully immersed in multiple projects across languages. Besides her Bollywood debut, she is working on the Tamil film Parashakti and the Telugu film Mass Jatara alongside Ravi Teja. She is also part of Junior, a Kannada-Telugu bilingual.
“Apart from these, a few other projects are in discussion, and I will reveal details soon,” she concluded, hinting at an eventful year ahead.
With a mix of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Bollywood projects, Sreeleela is set to make her mark across industries while staying true to her roots.
