Global female superstar Priyanka Chopra has officially arrived in Odisha’s picturesque Koraput district to join the filming of SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated action-adventure film, tentatively titled SSMB29. The global icon landed in Odisha on Monday evening, March 10, and checked into a hotel in Semiliguda, where the film’s crew is stationed.
As she landed in Odisha, she posted videos on Instagram. In one video, we can see her watching from her plane the rustic nature of Odisha. In the other video, she was observing the lives and villages of Odisha through her car window.
She joined the shooting along with Mahesh Babu and Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran today.
The SSMB29 team has been buzzing with activity in Koraput since last week, with Rajamouli directing key action sequences amidst the district’s lush hills and dense forests.
Priyanka’s arrival has heightened excitement around the project, which is touted as a globe-trotting jungle adventure with a budget reportedly ranging between ₹1000-1500 crore—one of the most expensive Indian films to date.
Sources close to the production indicate that Chopra will be filming crucial scenes in the Talamali Hill area, a location that has already drawn attention due to leaked footage featuring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
