Tamannaah Bhatia is now promoting her Telugu film. She played the main lead role in Sampath Nandi co-produced “Odela 2.”

The film’s trailer launch event happened in Mumbai on Tuesday.

The Mumbai media patiently waited for Tamannaah to bring up the subject of her recent break-up with actor Vijay Varma.

When a reporter brought Vijay’s name in directly, she cleverly replied.

The question from the reporter: “Aisi koi personality haijiskeuparaap tantra mantra ki vidya se uskeupar Vijay haasilkarnachahtihai?” (Is there any personality over whom you’d like to use occult knowledge to achieve victory—‘Vijay’?)

Tamannaah responded with a sharp, sarcastic quip that drew laughter from the crowd: “Yeh tohaap pe hi karnapadega. Phirsaare paparazzi mere mutthimeinhonge. What do you say? Karle? Sir, pe hi karle?” (I’d have to use it on you. Then all the paparazzi would be in my control. What do you say? Shall we do it? Right on your head?)

Her witty retort not only shut down the personal probe but also redirected attention to her commanding presence, earning applause for her quick thinking.

Tamannaah’s breakup

The exchange comes amid ongoing speculation about Tamannaah and Vijay’s breakup, which first surfaced in March 2025. The duo, who confirmed their relationship in 2023 after starring together in Lust Stories 2, had been a beloved pair in the public eye until reports of an amicable split emerged.

Sources suggest differing views on marriage—Tamannaah reportedly seeking commitment while Vijay was not ready—may have led to their separation.

At the Odela 2 event, Tamannaah remained focused on her work, offering cryptic yet introspective remarks when asked about personal struggles. She cleverly avoided more personal questions.

About Odela 2

Directed by Ashok Teja, Odela 2—a sequel to the 2022 film Odela Railway Station—promises a gripping tale of good versus evil, with Tamannaah’s character confronting dark forces in a haunted village. The trailer presented Vasishta N. Simha as the antagonist. The film, dubbed in Hindi for a wider release, is poised to cement Tamannaah’s reputation as a versatile actress across industries.
