Legendary actor Brahmanandam has once again turned busy with multiple films after a long gap. However, he is not receiving big roles. In some films, he appears for only one or two scenes.
When asked why he agreed to do films like “Game Changer,” where he was seen in only one scene that lasted for a minute, the veteran comedian said the director, Shankar, trimmed his role.
“I had participated in the shooting for many days. The role they offered me was lengthy. They promised me a prominent role throughout the film. But the final product has me in only one scene. What can I do when the director trims the role?” he revealed.
Playing grandfather to his son
Brahmanandam played grandfather to his son Raja Goutham in the recently released film, “Brahma Anandam.” The film received modest reviews, with critics claiming the story point was excellent but not the execution. However, the actor says he was satisfied with the response.
“As a father, I derive immense joy from receiving praise for my son. I consistently seek to explore new positions. I select role with the aim of providing something novel for my admirers. After an extended period, I feel content that I have accomplished a commendable film and a noteworthy role,” he said.
Brahmanandam also mentioned he will be playing serious roles henceforth.
“I aspire to undertake roles akin to Ranga Marthanda instead of recurring similar ones. Directors ought to endeavor to portray me in innovative manners. Emerging directors solicit my participation with enthusiasm, requesting that I undertake a role, even if only for a single day. I do not forfeit anything by assuming that role. It is advantageous for them,” he added.
